The Diamond Challenge Team is honored to present this year’s topical prize awards. Established in 2019, topical prize awards recognize Diamond Challenge semifinalist teams that have shown significant promise and excellence in a particular field of entrepreneurial capacity. All topical prize awards are sponsored by innovative companies investing in the next generation.
- Student teams earn a $1,500 cash prize.
- Any high school student around the world that submits to the Diamond Challenge is eligible for Topical Prize Awards.
- Each prize is offered to one semifinalist team in the Business Innovation track, and one semifinalist team in the Social Innovation track.
- Team-based concepts must be submitted on January 8 by 11:59 p.m. United States Eastern Time to be considered.

Delaware Solid Waste Authority Waste & Recycling Innovation Prize
The Delaware Solid Waste Authority defines, develops, and implements cost-effective plans and programs for solid waste management to protect our public health and environment. This prize is awarded to the teams who develop an advancement in the waste or recycling industries that fosters sustainability within both the community and the environment.
W.L. Gore & Associates Innovation Excellence Prize
W.L. Gore & Associates is a materials science company focused on discovery, product innovation and rewarding careers for our Associates. We are pleased to present the Gore Innovation Excellence Award to teams that best represent the application of technology to improving lives.
